We the federalists of Uganda, grateful to God, confirm our will and determination to live our diversity in respect of one another; commit ourselves to building a better future by establishing justice, based on the principles of democracy, equality, freedom, peace, unity, and dialogue; ordain and establish this constitution as the basis for our endeavours.
Article 1: Participation
a) Federo is not a party, it is not a tribe or tribalist, nor is Federo religious.
b) Federo is for everyone, and everyone is free to join a party, religion or association of his/her choice.
Article 2: Democratic Governance
a) Federo is a struggle for democratic governance based on federalism in Uganda.
b) It allows the people in each constituent component to decide on how to govern themselves, including the freedom to choose for a kingdom, chiefdom, or any other form of governance in their region.
c) Federo respects the wishes of the people of Uganda.
d) Citizens of the constituent components are free to settle in any region of the country and contest for political office (as may be prescribed in b above).
Article 3: Equal Treatment
a) Uganda is a federal country divided in regions based on the borders of existing and recognised ethnic groups.
b) All Regions are treated in the same way by the federal authorities.
Article 4: Self Determination
a) Federo advocates for the highest possible sovereignty for the constituent components.
b) Federo advocates for the supremacy of and respect for the federal laws.
c) Federo advocates for the respect of the autonomy of the constituent parts.
d) Federo advocates for free and fair democratic political contests in each constituent component.
Article 5: Dialogue and Negotiation
a) Federo encourages dialogue and negotiation as a means of resolving conflicts and misunderstandings.
b) Federo encourages every Ugandan to speak out and fight for his God-given rights and freedoms.
