Inviting one delegate from each of our official political parties (NRM, DP, UPC, FDC, CP, JEEMA); a delegate from each of our independence traditional states of Uganda; MPs; businessmen and international political activists plus world re-known guest speakers.
The structure for papers and those who will be invited to speak must address the following:
(a) The issue - federalism as the best tool to install a democratic, stable, progressive and an inclusive Uganda
(b) Writers should state in clear terms whether or not they agree with the Conference motion
(c) The body of their argument should be about why one takes the position they have taken and provide examples
(d) Writers will have to make a recommendation to the Conference
Writers will be given up to 10 minutes to defend their papers and if time allows take questions. The papers will be circulated to all delegates on arrival. The Editorial Committee will contact the writer by end of June if there are parts that need revision or editing out of a paper. Essays should be no more 2,500 words long.
Papers should be with us by 25 July 2008 at the latest because they are going to be published in the conference magazine. The magazine will be sent to all registered delegates, advertisers and sponsors by the about the first week of August-2008.
